Edo Hannah Morrison
violin and PIano
Hello! I’m Hannah, a Glasgow-based musician and educator with over eight years of experience. I believe that music should be a joy, and my goal is to create a nurturing space where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to explore their own creative voice.
My Approach
Whether you’re just starting your journey or looking to deepen your technical skills, I tailor every lesson to you. I focus on building strong foundations and sustainable practice habits, but always with a spirit of play and exploration. From mastering ABRSM grades to exploring digital music software (DAWs) and composition, we’ll work together to reach the milestones that matter most to you.
Inclusive Learning for Everyone
I am deeply committed to making music accessible to everyone. Around half of my students have Additional Support Needs (ASN), and I take great care in finding innovative, gentle ways to bypass barriers to learning. Whether that’s through gamification, sensory-friendly activities, or using specialized tools like Figurenotes, I strive to ensure that every learner feels a sense of belonging and success.
For those who have English as an Additional Language (EAL), I use my background in language teaching to provide clear, simplified guidance. Having grown up as a biracial person in Scotland, I place a high value on cultural sensitivity and creating a welcoming, low-pressure environment for all. (If you prefer, I can also facilitate lessons in Japanese!)
Background & Training
My own musical path began at age seven and led me to the City of Edinburgh Music School and later the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where I graduated with a BMus in Composition. Beyond the studio, I stay connected to the magic of making music by performing in orchestras and collaborating on contemporary projects.
I’d love to help you or your child discover the rewards of making music. Please get in touch to chat about how we can start this journey together.
