Intro To Music (Little Strummers) (Ages 4 to 8)

Introducing young musicians to ukulele, percussion, and singing, alongside first steps in rhythm and reading music. Children form their first ukulele band, build real friendships, learn to work as a team, and grow in confidence, all while being given the platform to shine and discover their own strengths. These classes give students the opportunity to engage in a wide range of musical activities, allowing them to find their own musical feet as they get older.

£40 per month, 38 teaching weeks in year (4 per class)

Kids Ukulele (Ages 8 to 12)

Building on strong ukulele foundations, with percussion, singing, and the option to start bass for those keen to go further. Kids play together in a ukulele band, take on performance opportunities, and keep growing in confidence, friendship, and teamwork, finding their own musical strengths along the way.

£60 per month, 38 teaching weeks in year (5 per class)

Teen Jam (Ages 13 and up)

A more relaxed space for our young musicians (ages 13–18) to come together in their own ukulele band, build real skills, and perform. Beyond weekly sessions, Teen Jam members get to join our adult community group, Southside Strummers, for gigs and pub night jams (with a parent or guardian along), plus a place in our rehearsals as they grow, building lifelong friendships, teamwork, and the confidence that comes from being part of something bigger. It's the natural next step from our kids' classes, and a genuine path into full Strummers membership once they turn 18.

£20 per month, 12 sessions in the year (up to 12 spaces available)

Adult Ukulele Classes

Adult ukulele classes run through Southside Strummers, our community ukulele group. Sarah leads the intermediate and beyond classes, while beginner classes are led by other experienced tutors within the group.
